Rokhaya Diop, a Franco-Senegalese entrepreneur, was born in Dakar and moved to France at the age of 14. Motivated by a lack of diversity in the toy industry, she founded Urbidolls to address the challenge of finding Black or mixed-race dolls in major retailers.
Urbidolls creates stunning dolls that celebrate diversity, representing a variety of skin tones and hair textures, designed for children aged 3 and up.
Through Urbidolls, Rokhaya Diop strives to promote essential values, including:
- Self-Acceptance
- Self-Confidence
- Self-Esteem
- Tolerance
- Open-Mindedness
Her mission is to inspire children to embrace their unique beauty and encourage them to appreciate the richness of diversity.
